Common questions

When is a domain actually secured?
A search result does not hold or reserve the name. The domain is secured only after payment is accepted and the registration is confirmed by the registry or registrar.
Can I transfer a Dotwen-registered domain away?
Yes, subject to registry, registrar, lock, timing, and verification rules. Use the dashboard to review transfer lock status and authorization code controls where available, then complete the transfer with your new registrar before expiration.
What does Dotwen's 1-year registration include?
When a registration succeeds, the domain is registered for 1 year under your Dotwen account. Your dashboard shows the domain status, expiration date, contact settings, DNS settings, and transfer controls where available.
Does Dotwen support renewal or auto-renewal?
Eligible expired domains can be renewed manually from the domain page. Auto-renewal is not available today, and the renewal term, price, and conditions are shown before you submit a renewal.
What should I do if I may want to keep the domain after 1 year?
Watch the expiration date in your dashboard. You can renew manually from the domain page when an expired domain is eligible, or transfer to another registrar before expiration. Start transfer planning 60 to 90 days before expiry and start the transfer at least 30 days before expiry so locks, authorization codes, and registrar confirmation do not put the domain at risk.
How does prepaid USD balance work?
Funds added to your Dotwen balance can be used for domain purchases on Dotwen. Loaded balance cannot be cashed out or refunded, except where required by law or where Dotwen corrects an eligible billing error.
Are completed domain registrations refundable?
Completed registrations are generally final because the domain is submitted to a registry or registrar. Dotwen generally does not refund confirmed registrations for a change of mind, a typo, the wrong extension, non-use, or a later decision to transfer elsewhere.
What happens if registration fails after I paid?
If Dotwen charges your balance but the registration is not submitted or completed, the failed registration is reviewed for correction or an eligible refund. Duplicate charges and price reconciliation issues are also reviewed under the Refund Policy.
Can I use my own nameservers or manage DNS in Dotwen?
Dotwen supports DNS management from the dashboard, including managed DNS where available and custom nameservers where supported. Some domains may have registry or registrar limits on which DNS options are available.

Before you pay, check the details

Confirm the domain spelling, extension, price, contact details, DNS choice, and transfer lock setting before submitting a registration. If you may want to keep a domain beyond its 1-year term, review manual renewal eligibility from the domain page or start transfer planning early.
