Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 August 2026

These Terms form an agreement between you and DOTWEN LTD, which operates Dotwen. They apply to your account, payments, Dotwen balance, and each service identified when you order or use it.

Agreement and eligibility

DOTWEN LTD is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 17372616. Its registered office is 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. Do not submit an order if you do not agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated by reference.

Services covered

These Terms cover only the services identified when you order or use them. Any service-specific terms presented with a service also apply.

The domain provisions in these Terms apply when you search for, register, renew, transfer, or manage a domain through Dotwen.

Accounts

You must provide accurate account information, keep authentication methods secure, and tell Support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

Registrant and domain contact information must remain accurate and may require verification. Failure to complete required verification can prevent registration or lead to a hold, suspension, or other action required by a registrar, registry, ICANN policy, or law.

Orders and contract formation

Search results and cart selections do not hold a domain and are not an accepted order. Before submitting, review the domain spelling, extension, one-year term, USD price, contact and DNS details, auto-renew disclosure, and order total. You can correct errors by editing or removing cart items before the final action.

The final action clearly creates a payment obligation. Your submission is an offer to buy the listed registration. A contract for a domain is formed only when payment is accepted and the registrar or registry confirms the registration. If either step fails, no completed registration contract is formed for that domain.

Your account shows the registration outcome, and Dotwen sends an email update. Keep your email and account records for future reference.

Registration and auto-renew

The initial order is for a one-year domain registration and does not require a multi-year purchase. New domains start with auto-renew on. After registration, you can turn it off in Domain Settings. Your account shows the current setting and when a change has taken effect.

Auto-renew does not guarantee renewal. Payment failure, account restrictions, registrar or registry deadlines, domain status, service failure, expiry rules, or other applicable requirements can prevent renewal. Dotwen will not charge you for a renewal unless the applicable amount and payment obligation have been disclosed before the charge.

Prices and payments

Prices are shown in USD and may differ by extension or domain. The current one-year registration amount, mandatory Dotwen charges, and order total are shown before payment. Location-dependent tax or mandatory charges that cannot be calculated earlier will be identified and included before payment. Dotwen may correct an obvious pricing error before accepting an order, but will not add a retroactive charge to an accepted order.

By submitting payment, you authorize the displayed charge or use of displayed Dotwen balance. A failed or reversed payment may stop registration and may require review where registrar or registry state is uncertain.

If a registration fails, the amount is returned to your Dotwen balance. If you paid at checkout rather than from existing balance, the same amount is added as Dotwen credit and is not automatically returned to the original payment method. Billing errors, duplicate charges, requests for an original-method refund, and rights provided by law are reviewed under the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Dotwen balance

Dotwen balance is store credit for use on eligible purchases on Dotwen. It is not money, electronic money, or a deposit, is not a bank or payment account, does not earn interest, and cannot be withdrawn as cash. Balance has no cash value except as credit toward Dotwen services.

You can add balance using a supported payment method shown at checkout. Where Dotwen offers funding by stablecoin, the same balance terms apply and any additional conditions are shown before you pay. Minimum and maximum top-up amounts and a limit on total top-ups over a rolling period apply. These limits depend on the funding method, your account history, and risk review, and the amount that applies is shown before you pay. The minimum billing top-up is 5 USD.

Dotwen may hold, review, decline, or reverse a top-up or balance where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud or abuse, when a funding payment fails, is reversed, or is charged back, or to meet a legal, registrar, or registry requirement. A chargeback or reversal of a funding payment may reduce or remove the related balance. This does not remove a mandatory right; billing errors and refund requests are handled under the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Dotwen balance does not expire while your account remains open and in good standing. If your account is closed, remaining balance is handled in line with the Refund and Cancellation Policy and applicable law. Balance that cannot be withdrawn as cash remains subject to any refund right that applies by law.

Domain services

Dotwen provides domain services as a reseller and is not an ICANN-accredited registrar. Dotwen may work with different accredited registrars depending on the domain and extension. Each registration has a sponsoring registrar and is also subject to applicable registrar, registry, ICANN, and dispute policies. The Domain Policy explains how to identify the sponsoring registrar.

Availability can change until registration is confirmed. Dotwen does not guarantee search accuracy, registration, transfer, renewal, restoration, recovery, or uninterrupted DNS. You must comply with contact verification, eligibility, nameserver, transfer-lock, expiry, restoration, and registry-specific requirements and begin transfers early enough to address applicable locks or checks.

Acceptable use

You may not use Dotwen, an account, or a domain for phishing, malware, botnets, spam, fraud, impersonation, credential theft, unlawful content, child sexual abuse material, infringement, abusive or threatening conduct, sanctions evasion, or attempts to bypass security or platform restrictions.

You must not violate intellectual-property rights, applicable law, registry or registrar rules, court orders, or dispute decisions. Reports may be sent to abuse@dotwen.com.

Suspension and termination

Dotwen may restrict an account or domain where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud or abuse, protect customers or service integrity, address non-payment, comply with law or a binding order, or follow registrar, registry, or ICANN requirements. Where lawful and practical, Dotwen will give notice and a route to Support.

Closing or restricting an account does not erase transaction, domain, ownership, balance, security, or legal records that must be retained. It does not remove accrued payment obligations or any mandatory right or remedy.

Intellectual property

Dotwen and its licensors retain rights in the platform, software, design, and branding. You retain rights in material you provide and grant Dotwen the limited rights needed to process it for the requested service. Feedback may be used without an obligation to you, provided Dotwen does not disclose your confidential information.

Registering a domain does not create trademark or other third-party rights and does not protect the name from a dispute or lawful order.

Service and liability

Dotwen works with registrars, registries, DNS networks, payment services, sign-in services, hosting providers, and communications services. Those services can fail or apply their own rules. Nothing in these Terms excludes any duty to provide services with reasonable care and skill where that duty cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DOTWEN LTD is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost business, or loss caused by a customer's incorrect instructions. For loss arising from these Terms, total liability is limited to the amount paid to Dotwen for the affected service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

No limitation applies to fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability, statutory guarantee, consumer remedy, or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Changes, complaints, and law

Dotwen may update these Terms for legal, security, operational, or product reasons. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate account, email, or website notice before they take effect where required. Changes do not rewrite an already accepted order retroactively.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not remove mandatory rights or access to courts available under the law of your home jurisdiction.
